is a member of the Southern District

Our members activity work with national, state and local club service areas of:  Creative Arts, Performing Arts, Conservation, Education, Home Life and Social Services, Public Affairs, International Affairs, Resolutions, and Literature.  


MWC's mission is: Meeting the needs of others while engaging in lifelong learning and personal growth.  The clubmembers strive to reinforce an active role of social awareness in the community and to help create and produce an improved economy.

Chorus:  Music Chair, Debbi Permito, announces rehearsals and performances:  Rehearsals will be every Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m.  Beginning in February, we will be preparing for the District Fine Arts competition.  Debbi encourages all who are interested in singing to meet on the dates scheduled. 

International Affairs Chair
Barbara Morrow reports that she will be collecting snacks, aluminum tabs, and used cartridges for Ronald McDonald House; and canceled stamps for "Stamps Teach,"  Also, box tops for Mt. Pleasant School.  Our Nature Conservancy Project continues.

Millville Public School Reading program and Spelling Bee, Sandy Walter, Ch.
Several members of the Millville Woman's Club volunteer their time reading to children attending local public schools.    

Fiber Arts Club:  EllenBeth Nappen, Chair

Those who want to create fiber arts will meet in the club house every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, (when luncheons or meetings are not scheduled).  You are cordially invited to attend if you like to knit, crochet, or do needlework. Beginners are encouraged.  

The club supported the following during the past year
Millville Public Library, Millville Public Schools, Inspira Hospice, Wheaton Arts, Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts, Shirley Eves Center, SHINE, Help and Hope Ministries, Family Promise, and the City of Millville Park areas, to name a few.

Rutgers, The State of N. J. College for Women at Douglass and Millville High School graduating senior.  Two Lakeside School Scholarships were added this year.  

Food Closet Donations
When possible, you are urged to bring food items to the club for Help and Hope Food Pantry. 

The trustees will once again collect items for the kitchen and bathrooms.  We are in need of Scott toilet tissue, paper towels, Brillo, baggies, and Bromley tea bags.  The collection box is located in the Marie Carley Dining Room. 

Prepare now for NJSFWC Achievement Day that will be held in April 2019.
Plan now to enter contests in the following areas:  
Art:  Door Decoration, Jewelry, Embroidery, Needlepoint, Plastic Canvas, Knitting, Crocheting, Quilting, Sewing, Computer Art, Paper Art, Upcycle, Holiday, and Birdhouses.
Baking:  Cakes, Cookies, Quick Breads and Muffins, Pies, Candy, Cake Mix, and Small Pastries.
Paintings:  Oil, Watercolors, Acrylic, Drawings, Portraits, and other material
Photography:  Black and White and Color
